Etihad Airways recorded a significant milestone in February 2025, welcoming 1.6 million passengers and maintaining a robust average passenger load factor of 89 percent. The airline’s performance reflects its continued expansion and strong market demand. In the first two months of the year, Etihad Airways transported 3.3 million passengers, marking a substantial increase from the 2.9 million recorded during the same period in 2024.

The airline attributes this growth to its strategic expansion and operational efficiency, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing carriers globally. Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, highlighted the airline’s strong performance, noting a 14 percent increase in passenger numbers compared to February last year. He emphasized that sustained growth and high load factors demonstrate the airline’s ability to meet rising travel demand while expanding its network.

“As our capacity continues to grow, it is pleasing to see we maintained our robust passenger load factor of 89 percent year-to-date, as we prepare for a busy 2025 with the launch of 14 new routes,” Neves stated. The airline’s expansion strategy includes introducing new destinations to enhance connectivity and strengthen its global presence.

Strong growth in early 2025 for Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways‘ growth is further supported by its expanding fleet, which is approaching 100 aircraft. The airline expects additional deliveries throughout the year, ensuring it meets increasing passenger demand while enhancing operational capabilities. The strong performance in early 2025 underscores Etihad’s strategic direction and commitment to delivering a seamless travel experience.

As the airline continues to scale its operations, it remains focused on efficiency, network expansion, and customer satisfaction. With the aviation industry witnessing a resurgence, Etihad Airways‘ steady growth positions it among leading global carriers. The airline’s upcoming route launches and fleet enhancements will play a crucial role in sustaining momentum in the months ahead. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
